LITCHFIELD PARK, ARIZ. – There will be a strong Oklahoma contingent competing in the Patriot All-America Invitational Dec. 29-31 at the Wigwam Golf Resort in Litchfield Park, Ariz., as well as its sister tournament the Thunderbolt.

On the boys side will be Ryder Cowan of Edmond and the University of Oklahoma and OU teammates Stephen Campbell Jr., Ben Lorenz and Matthew Troutman as well as Oklahoma State’s Jordan Wilson of Edmond and Tulsan J.P. Roller of Kansas State.

Among the girls competing are Maddi Kamas of Kingfisher and Oklahoma City University, Jenni Roller of Tulsa and the University of Tulsa and her TU teammates Allyn Stephens and Grace Kilcrease.

Ben Stoller of Owasso and Kansas State and Davis Woodliff of Tulsa and Samford University are competing in The Thunderbolt.

The Patriot field is limited to 84 male players and 42 female players. Conducted in a partnership between the Golf Coaches Association of America, the Arizona Golf Association and the West Valley Mavericks, The Patriot All-America honors fallen or severely wounded soldiers in collaboration with the Folds of Honor Foundation.

Ahe unique aspect of this Championship is that the players, in addition to competing in a 54-hole stroke-play tournament, also honor our military heroes. At the opening ceremony, each golfer receives and carries a commemorative PING golf bag that bears the name and branch of a fallen or wounded hero. Additionally, all of the golfers have the opportunity to visit Luke Air Force Base, the training center for our nation’s F-16 and F-35 fighter pilots. There, they meet with the General, fighter pilots, and crew, and tour the base while participating in activities rarely seen by civilians.

Play will begin Dec. 29 and will run through the 31st at The Wigwam Resort in Litchfield, Ariz. More information and live scoring will be here.
