SWOSU, Rogers State battling in Women’s NCAA Division II National Championship

Southwestern Oklahoma State and Rogers State had considerable ground to make up going into the third round of the NCAA Division II National Championship at Orange County National in Winter Garden, Fla.

SWOSU entered the final round of stroke play in 14th place despite improving from 313 to 289 between rounds one and two. RSU was in 16th place at 607. The top eight teams following the third round will advance to match play. Lee University was in eight place after two rounds at 587, 15 shots ahead of SWOSU.

SWOSU was led Wednesday by Drew Dodgion with a 2-under 70, a 10 shot improvement from her opening round. Rebecca Lau shot 71, Megan Brown 73 and Freya Sala 75.

For Rogers State, Marelda Ayal shot 75, Lydia Sitorus 76, Brianna Maddux 78 and Jessica Osden 81.
