Taylor Johnson was the 17th recipient of the Jo Bob Hille Scholarship during an awards ceremony at the First Tee of Tulsa Saturday, hosted by Southern Hills Country Club, which is the primary sponsor of the First Tee program.

Johnson, 17 of Tulsa, has been a First Tee of Tulsa participant since she was 10. She has achieved the highest level of programming, reaching the Ace level  and  has served as a mentor to other younger students.

Jo Bob and Mary Ann Hille founded the Hille Foundation in 1997 as a way to formalize their strong belief in giving.  They had always been active volunteers and valued supporters of the Tulsa community and felt forming a foundation was the way to accomplish their philanthropic goals more efficiently.

The opportunity to be selected as a scholarship recipient is available only to participants of The First Tee of Tulsa who are seniors in high school, registered and active in The First Tee of Tulsa participant database and who are involved with their local chapter at the time of application.  Please visit the web site, www.thefirstteetulsa.org, for an application.
