Competitive golf is starting to emerge from a COVID-19 induced hibernation on both the national and local levels.
This Wednesday is the deadline for entry for the Tulsa Golf Association Senior Stroke Play Championship slated May 26-27 at LaFortune Park Golf Course in Tulsa. All participants must be 50 years or older by May 26. Anyone wishing to play who has not yet entered, email George Glenn at firstname.lastname@example.org. Entry forms can be downloaded here.
The Women’s Oklahoma Golf Association is accepting entries for both its 70th annual Girls Junior State Championship and for the associated fundraising tournament.
The Girls Junior will be held July 14-15 at Cedar Ridge Country Club in Broken Arrow. Ages 8-18 are eligible for competition in flights for 8-11, 12-18 and championship flight. Championship flight contestants must have a verifiable handicap of 10.0 or less.

The WOGA Fundraiser will be July 13 at Cedar Ridge. It is a four-person scramble with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and is open to all men, women and junior golfers. The field is limited to the first 22 teams and cost is $600 per foursome including prizes, breakfast and lunch at Cedar Ridge. Again enter at www.woga.golfgenius.com
