Tulsa drops to 10th in AAC Golf Championship
PALM COAST, Fla. –– With two rounds in the books at the 54-hole American Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championship, the Tulsa golfers fell to 10th place on Monday. The Hurricane carded a second round 307 today for a 36-hole total of 608 on the par-72 Conservatory Course at the Hammock Beach Resort.
Houston continues to lead the field with a 5-under par score of 571, 20 strokes better than second-place UCF’s score of 591.
A pair of freshmen and one sophomore lead the Tulsa golfers and are among the top-25 performers after two rounds. Sammy Liu carded a round of 76 for a 151 total for 21st place, and Lorena Tseng’s second-round 75 gives her a 24th place score of 152, while sophomore Taylor Dobson is also in 24th place with a score of 152 after today’s round of 77.
Tulsa freshman Jasmine Zhang is in 37th place with a 155 total and senior Johanna Samuelsson is in 40th place with a 156 total.
Houston’s Leonie Harm and UCF’s Elizabeth Moon are tied for the individual lead with scores of 3-under par 141.
The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday.
