Tulsa off to shaky start in Dale McNamara Invitational
BROKEN ARROW, Okla. –– Overnight storms delayed the start of The Dale McNamara Invitational by two hours, but clear skies prevailed on Monday at the par-72 Golf Club of Oklahoma course before darkness halted second round play.
The first round ended with UNLV holding a one stroke lead over BYU. The Rebels carded an opening round 1-over par 289, followed by BYU at 290 for the first 18 holes. Second round play was suspended at 6:45 p.m. due to darkness and will resume Tuesday morning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. followed by the final 18 holes.
After a disappointing opening round of 314 mired the host team in 12th place, TU golfers were in the middle of a solid second round when play was stopped.
Sophie Johnson and Titita Loudtragulngam, both playing as individuals, carded rounds of 74 and 76, respectively, to lead all Tulsa golfers.
