Tulsa, ORU finish back of the pack at BYU at Entrada Classic

ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Tulsa women’s golf team, playing with only four golfers due to injury, finished in 13^th place at the BYU at Entrada Classic on Tuesday. The Hurricane carded a final round 314 to finish the 54-hole event with a total score of 935 at the par-72 Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club course.

Tulsa’s Olivia Jackson finished in 28^th place overall with a total score of 225, following today’s round of 79. Fellow junior Johanna Samuelsson turned in Tulsa’s best round of the day with an even-par 72 and finished in 29^th place overall with a score of 226.

Anneke Strobach carded a final round 78 and finished with a score of 229 for 37^th place, while Nicole Marquardt completed the event in 71^st place with a score of 255.

Host BYU overtook second-round leader Kent State for the team title as the Cougars shot a final round 286 for a two-stroke victory. Kent State’s Pimipa Panthong won individual medalist honors with a score of 8-under 208.

Tulsa is in action next at the John Kirk Panther Invitational, hosted by Georgia State, March 25-26 in Stockbridge, Georgia.

 Oral Roberts finished 14th overall, shooting a 54-hole score of 956 (313-321-322). Kennedy Ishee shot a final-round 77 to finish tied for 34th at 228 to lead the Golden Eagles.

The BYU at Entrada Classic was the first action for the ORU women’s golf team since October 2017 and is the first of three tournaments in a 10-day span.
