FlyingTee hosting Blood Drive noon to 5 p.m. today

TULSA, OK (March 13, 2018) The need for blood doesn’t end after the holidays so FlyingTee is teaming up with the Oklahoma Blood Institute and Tulsa Oilers to make it easy to give.  Visit FlyingTee Tuesday, March 13, 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm for this second annual event. All donors will have the choice of a strong, bold or fearless t-shirt, 2 Tulsa Oilers tickets or ½ hour of playing time at FlyingTee and have the chance to win a FlyingTee Clubhouse Membership for April, a Cobra Golf Bag and a Tulsa Oilers Party Deck Package for 10.

Only ten percent of people in the United States who are eligible to give blood actually do.  Blood donation takes just about an hour, and each donation can save the lives of up to three patients.  Whole blood can be donated every 56 days.  Platelet donations can be made as often as every 7 days, up to 24 times a year.

Oklahoma Blood Institute donors provide blood needed for patients in more than 160 hospitals statewide.  Approximately 1,200 volunteer blood donors are needed each day to maintain the supply.
