TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Women’s Golf head coach Emilee Klein-Gille announced on Friday that Johanna Samuelsson and Olivia Jackson have both signed National Letters of Intent to play golf for the Golden Hurricane starting in the fall of 2015.

Both athletes will look to make immediate impacts on the team as soon as they step foot on campus next year.

Samuelsson, a native of Djursholm, Sweden is currently ranked in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and has had multiple top-five finishes on the Skandia Tour both in 2014 and in 2013. This year she also qualified for the British Girls and Annika Invitational Championships. She led the field after the first round of the British Girls with a score of 73 and would go on to finish top-35 at both events.

Jackson is from North Yorkshire, England and is a member of the Yorkshire Elite Ladies Team for the 2014-15 season. She was previously a member of the Yorkshire Elite Junior Team from 2011-13. This year she has qualified for the British Girls, English Girls and North of England Girls Championships and won the HDUGC Ladies Championship. Last year Jackson won the Flado Series West Lancanshire tournament.

“I’m so excited that both Johanna and Olivia will be a part of our team next fall,” Klein-Gille said. “They both have a great work ethic and a desire to win that I believe will bring a new dimension to the team.  They are also both strong, athletic players who have demonstrated low scoring and I know they will both be a great asset to the program.”

The Hurricane will be back on the course on Feb. 22-23 at the Wisconsin Westbrook Invitational.
