USAO, Cryer prevail again, capturing CBC Invite

The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma claimed its second victory of the season last week, winning the CBC Invite hosted at Cypress Creek Golf Course (Par 72, 7392 yards) in Cabot, Arkansas. USAO was one of 11 teams in the tournament.

The Drovers, now up to No. 22 in NAIA,  were led by Connor Cryer, who won his second individual title, shooting rounds of 76-71-69. USAO finished 14 shots ahead of host Central Baptist College, ranked 31st nationall.

Also for USAO, Caleb Smith tied for fifth at 222 (73-75-74), Jaeden Ellis tied for seventh (73-73-77), Jax Brewer tied for 17th (76-76-77) and Tate Trotter tied for 23rd (78-79-77).

The team will have a short break before it returns for its third tournament, the Midwest Spring National Invitational April 8-9 in Manhattan, Kan.
