Wallace, McAllister advance, Son continues dominance
Low qualifiers Logan McAllister and Lane Wallace advanced to the semifinals of the OGA Junior Boys Championship, while Yujeong Son of Norman continued to look unstoppable on the girls side in match play Wednesday.
McAllister defeated Zander Tway of Tuttle 5 and 4 and Shayne Patel of Edmond 4 and 3. Wallace edged Blake Blaser of Edmond 2 and 1 and William McDonald of Oklahoma City 3 and 2. They are joined in the semifinals by Harrison Gearhart of Broken Arrow and Brock Polhill of Edmond.
Son rolled past Catalina Mika Ramos of Broken Arrow 6 and 5 and then dispatched Megan Brown of Cordell 6 and 5 to easily reach the semifinals, where she is joined by Adilene Norton of Ardmore, Nina Lee of Collinsville and ShaeBug Scarberry of Purcell.
