Roller out at U.S. Junior Girls Championship

Jenni Roller of Jenks struggled to an 81 in the second round of stroke play and did not advance to match play at the U.S. Girls Junior Championship at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Ky.

Much like in the first round, a pair of bad holes derailed Roller, including a quadruple bogey 8 on the first hole in which she had to take an uplayable lie and then hit into a hazard. She will put that behind her and prepare for the upcoming PGA Junior Championship Aug. 2-5 at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Palos Park, Ill.
