Yanovitch, NSU prevail in The Warrior, Southwestern OSU takes third
HENDERSON, NEVADA – Christian Yanovitch took individual medalist honors and led Northeastern State to its third consecutive victory, this one by a single shot over Winona State at The Warrior Invitational held on The Legacy Golf Club in Henderson, NV. Southwestern Oklahoma State finished third, seven shots back.
Yanovitch shot rounds of 74-67-74, the final round carved out in high winds as NSU finished at 907 (294-306-307) with Winona State University at 908 (295-307-306). The RiverHawks had 1 eagle, 36 birdies and landed 145 pars.
Yanovitch edged out Alek Mauro of Detroit Mercy who shot 218 (72-73-73) and Alessandro Trenta of Winona State, who led after an opening round 64.

Also for the RiverHawks, Ryan Morant finished tied for ninth after shooting 228 (75-78-75). Carlos Gomez trailed close behind in a tie for 12th scoring 230 (69-81-80). Brett Wilcoxen turned in a 235 (77-80-78) moving him up two places to a four-way tie for 17th place. Parker Rose tied for 30th at 241 (76-82-83).
Anders Stand finished fourth individually at 222 (72-76-74) and Connor Boydston seventh at 225 (76-73-76) to lead Southwestern Oklahoma State, which finished at 914 (297-308-309).
The RiverHawks will return to action in Edmond, Oklahoma at the Broncho Invitational starting March 20.
