Cowboys eight back of lead in Cabo Collegiate

CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico – Oklahoma State’s men’s golf team posted a 1-under 283 on Monday to slip into a tie with Baylor for sixth place at the Cabo Collegiate at Cabo del Sol/Cove Club Golf Course.

The Cowboys entered the day tied for first place and stand at 7-under 561 at the par-71, 6,807-yard layout. Arizona moved into the top spot with its 15-under total of 553.

Three players share the top spot on the individual leaderboard with Stanford’s Barclay Brown, Baylor’s Johnny Keefer and Arizona’s Trevor Werbylo all standing at 7-under 135.

OSU junior Austin Eckroat, the event’s defending medalist, posted his second consecutive 69 to share 11th place at 4-under 138.

Freshman Brian Stark posted a 72 to stand among the group tied for 19th place at 140, while senior Ferdinand Müller carded a 70 to come in a stroke back at 141 and tied for 24th place.

Sophomore Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen’s 72 tied him for 50th place at 145.

Sophomore Aman Gupta dipped into a tie for 59th place after posting a 78 to stand at 148.

Freshman Rayhan Thomas is competing individually and posted a 70 to come in tied for 27th place at 142.

OSU will begin its final round tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. and will be grouped with Stanford, Baylor and Texas A&M. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
