Cowboys finish ninth in Cabo Collegiate
CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico – Oklahoma State’s men’s golf team carded a 295 during its final round at the Cabo Collegiate on Tuesday to finish in ninth place at Cabo del Sol/Cove Club Golf Course.
The Cowboys, who had won the event the previous three seasons, finished at 4-over 856 at the par-71, 6,807-yard layout. Arizona State won the event with a 20-under total.
Texas A&M’s Walker Lee closed with a 64 to clip the field by a stroke with his 8-under 205 total.
OSU junior Austin Eckroat tied for 14th place at 211 after finishing with a 73.
Senior Ferdinand Müller carded a 71 to come in a stroke back and tied for 19th place at 212.
Freshman Brian Stark’s 78 tied him for 42nd place at 218, while sophomore Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen posted a 76 to finish at 221 and tied for 52nd place.
Sophomore Aman Gupta tied for 57th place at 223 after closing with a 75.
Competing individually, freshman Rayhan Thomas signed for a 73 to tie for 29th place at 215.
The Cowboys will be back in action on March 16 when they begin play at the N.I.T. in Tucson, Arizona.
