Fidone edges McCracken in Real Okie Classic, Falleur shines

Sam Fidone of Lufkin, Texas, rode a final round of 8-under 62 to the winner’s circle in the Real Okie Classic on the All Pro Tour at Muskogee Golf Club. Fidone finished at 23-under for 72 holes, edging Logan McCracken of Oklahoma City by two shots.

McCracken fired a final-round 6-under 64 to earn the $9,200 runner up check. Fidone earned $20,000 for the victory. Third place went to Will Gibson of Jonesboro, Ark., at 20-under. Gibson shot a 10-under 60 in Friday’s third round but just a 1-under 69 in the final round Saturday.

Amateur Mesa Falleur of Muskogee tied for 10th at 14-under, shooting rounds of 70-67-62-67. Also William McDonald of Oklahoma City, who recently won the 2023 OGA State Amateur, tied for 23rd at 8-under.

The APT returns to Oklahoma Sept. 6-9 at The Club at Indian Springs in Broken Arrow, another event that was postponed from the spring due to winter turf damage.
