McCracken in contention at Real Okie Classic in Muskogee

Logan McCracken of Oklahoma City is two shots off the lead through 36 holes of the All Pro Tour’s Real Okie Classic at Muskogee Golf Club.

McCracken has shot rounds of 64-66 to move to 10-under par, two shots behind Texan Ryan Baca (64-64). Two others (Sam Fidone and Gray Townsend) are also at 10-under going into the third round, which was pushed back to an 11 a.m. starting time due to rain.

The tournament continues through Saturday and is open to the public at no charge. Winner receives $20,000. Will McDonald, who recently won the Oklahoma Golf Association State Amateur championship, is tied for 13th at 6-under through 36 holes, as is Jared Strathe of Owasso. Former Sooner Blaine Hale is at 5-under and another former Sooner, Charlie Saxon of Tulsa, is 4-under.

The APT event was pushed back from a this spring as Muskogee recovered from winter kill that hit many courses in Northeast Oklahoma.
