When the Oklahoma qualifier for the U.S. Amateur Championship originally scheduled for Gaillardia Country Club had to be moved due to excessive winter kill in the fairways, Oklahomans scattered to other venues in an effort to qualify.

Several of the closer venues were held Monday. Incoming OU freshman Andrew Goodman finished as the first alternate at the qualifier at Stonebridge Ranch in McKinney, Texas. His coach Ryan Hybl finished as second alternate in a qualifier at Lochland Country Club in Hastings, Neb., finishing one shot out of a playoff for the second spot.

A large number of Oklahomans attempted to qualify at Blue Hills Country Club in Kansas City, Mo., but none made it through. You can keep track of U.S. Amateur qualifying across the country at the link above.
