Green leads Rogers State to second in NSU Classic
Led by Jessica Green’s third-place effort, Rogers State took second at the 22nd Annual NSU Women’s Golf Classic on Tuesday at The Club at Indian Springs in Broken Arrow.
Green shot a 2-under 142 after rounds of 70-72. As a team RSU finished 12 shots behind Henderson State.
Also for the Hillcats, Marelda Ayal tied for sixth at 147 (+3). Lydia Sitorus finished in a tie for eighth with a 148. Jaelynn Unger finished in a group of seven tied at 20th after she shot 151 (+7). Raquel Flores rounded out the team in a four-way tie for 30th with a card of 153 (+9).
Host Northeastern State shot 298 Tuesday and placed fourth. Nina Lee closed with a 73 and Yasmin Hang a 74 and both finished tied for 10th at 149. Kaylee Petersen and Macy Rutland tied for 20th at 151 while Aitana Hernandez was a shot back at 152.
Oklahoma Baptist finished seventh, Southwestern Oklahoma State eighth, Northwestern Oklahoma State 15th and Southern Nazarene 16th.
