Moore leads Oklahoma contingent at halfway point of Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament

Taylor Moore of Edmond shot a 4-under 67 on the Panther Course at Orange County National to move into fourth place in the Web.com Tour’s Qualifying Tournament Friday.

Moore is tied for fourth at 7-under. Puma Dominguez and Dan Woltman share the lead at 10-under. The top 45 players in the 72-hole event will have Web.com Tour status to begin 2017.

Former Oklahoma State star Talor Gooch of Midwest City is tied for 24th after rounds of 68-72.  Tied for 40th at 3-under are Kevin Dougherty (OSU) 69-72 and Abraham Ancer (OU) 70-71.

Players with local ties who will need to move up slightly this weekend include Chris Worrell of Jenks and TU, tied for 55th at 2-under (72-70), and Charlie Saxon of Tulsa and OU,  (74-68). Tied for 84th at even-par at Blake Trimble (Southern Nazarene) Casey Wittenberg (OSU) and Michael Gellerman (OU).

Will Kropp of Edmond shot rounds of 71-74 and is tied for 102nd at 1-over. Tulsa native Brad Elder is tied for 125 (71-76), while Josh Creel of Edmond and UCO is tied for 148th (73-75) with former OU player Michael Schoolcraft (77-74), among others.
