The Oklahoma Golf Course Superintendents Association celebrated its first Hall of Fame class in a dinner Friday night at Belmar Country Club.

Craig Elms, former long-time superintendent at Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club, and Jim Wood, who had a distinguished career of more than 40 years at both Oak Tree National in Edmond and Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City, were the two superintendents inducted. Also inducted were Dr. Greg Bell, a emeritus professor in turfgrass research at Oklahoma State University who was inducted into the Oklahoma Turfgrass Hall of Fame in 2014, and Larry Lindsey, a longtime rep for Winfield Solutions and other turfcare products.

Each was introduced by a presenter before giving brief remarks. For Elms, daugher Melinda did the honors, while fellow rep Kevin McCroskey introduced Lindsey, former OSU student now a professor himself Justin Moss introduced Bell and Simplot rep Mike Halvorson introduced Wood.
