Oklahoma Fore State team comes back to defend title

Oklahoma won eight of 12 singles matches Tuesday then won a playoff with Arkansas to defend its title in the Fore State Cup Matches at Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith, Ark.

The Oklahoma team forged a 13-13 tie with Arkansas after two days of play that involved four-ball and alternate shot matches. Missouri was third with 12 points and Kansas had 10. Complete results are here.

Winning singles matches were Laurie Campbell, LeeAnn Fairlie, Emily Baber, Natalie Blonien, Jenni Roller, Leigh Ann Fore, Janet Miller, Sydney Hermann. The team also included Lori Harned, Teresa DeLarzelere, Jill Johnson and Micheala Dierinzo.
