Oklahoma State places 14th at U.S. Collegiate Championship
ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Oklahoma State’s men’s golf team finished 14th at the United States Collegiate Championship after posting a 304 on Sunday during its third round at Golf Club of Georgia.
The Cowboys finished at 16-over 880 and four shots behind Stanford at the par-72, 7,017-yard layout. Texas outlasted Virginia to win the event. The Longhorns closed with a 277 to finish at 21-under 843 and a shot ahead of the field.
Virginia’s Derek Bard fired a 64 to cruise to a six-shot victory with a 201 total.
Freshman Kristoffer Ventura led the Cowboy starting five, posting a 74 to finish at 212 and in a tie for 11th place.
Sophomore Wyndham Clark carded an even-par 72 to finish at 217 and tied for 25th place.
Sophomore Zachary Olsen’s 76 tied him for 62nd place at 225, while redshirt freshman Brendon Jelley’s 82 tied him for 71st place at 231.
Junior Jordan Niebrugge finished with an 83 to get in at 232 and alone in 73rd place.
The Cowboys will close out their fall slate when they begin play at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate in Dallas on Oct. 27.
