Rain wipes out first day of Big 12 Championship

Friday’s first day of action at the 2019 Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship was cancelled due to inclement weather in the area at The Greenbriar in White Sulphur Springs, W. Va.

Teams were originally scheduled to tee off at 7 a.m. CT on Friday and play 36 holes, but due to heavy rain play was cancelled for the entire day.

Originally scheduled four rounds of stroke play, the Big 12 Championship will be reduced to 54 holes. Teams are scheduled to play 36 holes on Saturday with the final round set to take place on Sunday.

The Sooners are paired with Texas Tech and will tee off the first round at 7:22 a.m. CT on Saturday.
