Riverwalk Crossing hosting 3rd Annual Blood Drive at FlyingTee

TULSA, OK (March 13, 2019) Donating blood may not be a standard spring break activity, but Riverwalk Crossing, FlyingTee, Tulsa Oilers and Oklahoma Blood Institute are all teaming up to make it convenient and rewarding. The Tulsa Oilers and Riverwalk Blood Drive at FlyingTee will be held Tuesday, March 19 from 11:00 to 6:00 pm.

Each donor will receive a limited-edition Bigfoot Be a Legend T-shirt, two free Tulsa Oilers Tickets, one free hour of FlyingTee bay play time, and other great giveaways from Riverwalk businesses including Marble Slab, Los Cabos, the Melting Pot and Pinot’s Palette. All who donate at the March 13th drive, will also be entered for a chance to win a $100 FlyingTee gift card.

Donors can simply visit FlyingTee during the blood drive hours (11am to 6pm) to give. However, pre appointments are requested, to make an appointment in advance, call (877) 340-8777 or visit obi.org.

Only ten percent of people in the United States who are eligible to give blood actually do. Whole blood can be donated every 56 days. Platelet donations can be made as often as every 7 days, up to 24 times a year.

Oklahoma Blood Institute donors provide blood needed for patients in more than 160 hospitals statewide. Approximately 1,200 volunteer blood donors are needed each day to maintain the supply.
