Southwestern Oklahoma Christian finishes 1-3-5 in Shawnee Shootout

Southwestern Oklahoma Christian certainly has one of the deepest rosters in the country in men’s golf.

Playing and hosting the Shawnee Shootout at Shawnee Country Club, the Eagles placed first, third and fifth in the event, while Weatherford College tied for first and Briar Cliff University filled in the other gap in fourth.

Gaitlin Goad of Weatherford was first individually, shooting rounds of 77-72-75 to finish at 224, three shots ahead of Saxon Ross of Southwestern Christian’s first-place squad. Ross shot rounds of 73-74-80.

Gus Fritz of the Eagles’ B team placed third at 230 and Dominic Wade of Oklahoma Christian’s B team tied for fourth with Trevor Watson of Kansas Wesleyan at 231.
