Teeter, Daniel pace OCU in Mid-South at Sand Creek Station
NEWTON, Kan. – Oklahoma City University had the top two individuals en route to the No. 1 team score after 36 holes of The Mid-South on Tuesday at Sand Creek Station Golf Course.
The Stars, ranked seventh in NAIA men’s golf according to the Golf Coaches Association of America, led the tournament by 13 shots. Dylan Teeter held the top spot in the individual standings, while his OCU teammate Dalton Daniel landed in second.
Oklahoma City registered a 282-287–569 on the par-72, 7,086-yard course. Grand View (Iowa) had the second-place score of 289-293–582. Sixth-ranked Bellevue (Neb.) stood third with a 298-293–591.
Teeter, a freshman from Bixby, Okla., topped the field with a 66-71–137. Daniel, a senior from Newcastle, Okla., came in second with a 71-68–139.
Tres Hill gave the Stars three individuals among the top 10. Hill, a freshman from Elk City, Okla., posted a 76-71–147 to be tied for 10th. Will Fore, a senior from Southlake, Texas, provided OCU with a 69-80–149.
Bosten Benn, a sophomore from Edmond, Okla., turned in an 82-77–159 for the Stars.
The Mid-South wraps up 8 a.m. Tuesday with the final round at Sand Creek Station.
