Tulsa Golf Alliance asks for help to reach goal, revitalize Tulsa public golf in 2023

As we enter the period of giving, the Tulsa Public Golf Course Alliance respectfully requests your help in achieving a milestone that will allow for continued dramatic improvements in course conditions at the City of Tulsa public golf facilities at Page Belcher and Mohawk Park.

The alliance was tasked by the Tulsa City Council with raising $1 million in private funds to achieve a $1 million match from the city for a total of $2 million to spend on badly needed improvements at both facilities. We are currently at approximately $785,000 in private donations and would love to top the goal by the end of 2022 so we can begin making specific improvements in 2023. Thank you very much to those of you who have so generously committed your resources to helping restore Tulsa’s beautiful layouts to conditions golfers can enjoy and support.

Golfers will have noticed some dramatic repairs were made this spring at Page Belcher including sodding of over seven acres of turf grass and removal and trimming of more than 200 trees to create better airflow, sunlight and turf conditions.

High on the priority lists for future improvements are repairs to the irrigation system at Mohawk Park, followed by tree trimming and fairway sodding, bunker work at both facilities, continued improvements in daily conditions through proper fertilizer and weed control and much more.

Again, Tulsa golfers are blessed to have some of the finest public course layouts in the region. The Golf Course Advisory Committee believes that with proper capital improvement repairs, of which this is just a start, combined with a renewed commitment from the city to ensure maintenance budgets are adequate for proper care, we can enjoy quality golf at reasonable fees for generations to come. Please help us in this effort if possible.
