Tulsa women in hunt at Green Wave Fall Classic
NEW ORLEANS, La. –– The Tulsa women golfers carded an 18-under par score of 558 after two rounds Monday at the Green Wave Fall Classic to open the season. All six Tulsa golfers are among the top-20 individuals at the par-72 Bayou Oaks @ City Park South Course.
The Hurricane led after one round with a 12-under par 276 and shot six-under 282 in second round action to finish the first day in third place. Tulsa trails co-leaders Nebraska and LSU, with scores of 23-under par, by five strokes.
Freshman Grace Kilcrease and sophomore Lovisa Gunnar are tied for seventh place with scores of 6-under par 138. Kilcrease carded identical rounds of 69, while Gunnar scored a 68 and 70.
Lilly Thomas is in 15th place after rounds of 69 and 70 for a 3-under 141. Sophomore Sydney Seigel and a pair of freshmen, Jenni Roller of Jenks and Emily Bohrer, are tied for 18th place with scores of 2-under par 142. Bohrer is playing the event as an individual, as her score doesn’t not count towards the team score.
Final round action takes place on Tuesday.
