Tulsa women move up to fifth in John Kirk/Panther Invitational

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. – The Tulsa women’s golf team moved into 5th palce after second round action Monday at the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate Sunday. The Golden Hurricane scored a round of 306 and after 36 holes has a 616 total score at the par-72 Eagles Landing Country Club.

The TU team is without head coach Emilee Klein, who resigned effective Monday due to personal reasons. It is being coached by assistant Sarah Bradley.

Nicole Marquardt is in a 14th place tie after shooting a round of 75 for a 152 total, while Anneke Strobach sits one stroke back in 18th place with a total score of 153, after turning in a round of 76 on Tuesday. Johanna Samuelsson also turned in a score of 76 today and has a two-round total of 155 for 22nd place.

Olivia Jackson shot 79 on Monday and has a 30th place score of 79 after two days.

Jacksonville leads the 17-team field with a total score of 594, ahead of second-place Murray State (598) by four strokes. South Alabama’s Siti Shaari turned in her second straight day of even-par 72 and has a one-stroke lead with a 144 total score.

Final round action takes place on Tuesday.
